An institute can flourish well only under the guidance of an experienced and learned professional. Therefore, the inaugural ceremony was conducted by our Director, Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Tyagi who made the students understand the importance of a management course. His rich experience was able to help students understand that holistic development of the student is the main objective of management education. This was further emphasized by Prof. (Dr.) Roop Krishen Khar mentioned that any management course must be able to teach these three things: Personality, Observation, and Perception.
If an individual can command these things, he will be able to succeed as a management graduate. Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality and the Head of the Department, Ms. Kamana Singh has that capacity. She shared her words of wisdom with students. She mentioned that a student can learn management skills only by doing it, practicing it and so students can be made competent to face the tough challenges of the society. By now students were given clarity on the vision, mission, and functioning of the institute. Now it was the time to make them understand the operational functioning of the institute.
Mr. Areeb Khan, an IIM Calcutta alumnus, gave clarity to students on the learning concepts of management and implementing it. He built curiosity amongst students on how the can excel in their careers. Placement highlights of our institute were shown by Ms. Minakshi Singh. Placement cell acts as a bridge between student and the industry, hence to understand the process is very important. She shared the areas wherein the students must focus and work for seeking good opportunities in the career progression plan. Dr. Nidhi Srivastava shared the general rules and regulations of the institute, which every student must abide by. Students were then taken to the session of Art of Living and the orientation day was closed at a very positive and warm note.
